Every day a flood of personal impressions, experiences, news and information streams in on us, which we may or may not perceive as increasing complexity. Complexity and diversity, the space between chaos and order is perceived as satisfying in one case and threatening in another. To what extent is complexity made and where does it actually exist? How good is our willingness to assess and understand it? Is there an objective measure of complexity that we can still cope with? To what extent do complexity and diversity promote or overburden our (cultural) identity? When does complexity compete with our need for security? Can this be addressed? How do we address it, emotionally or better only cognitively? Where does one censor oneself or others? How do we deal with it personally and as a company? Do we stay out of it completely, do we deny or stimulate complexity and diversity?
