Is the pond in front of my house really full of black swans? – Or how do I currently endure the uncertainties and contradictions in big and small things? How do I remain positive in spite of them? After all, as entrepreneurs, managers and consultants, we are also role models!
At the moment, people like to talk about a “turn of the times”. What does “turning point” mean for me in concrete terms? We feel: “The pressure is increasing that I have to deal with it.” – The question remains: How much do I open up? How much do I focus. What does me good and what challenges, what overwhelms me? Do we need to widen or narrow our blinders? How much change of times do I allow in my life and can I (still) cope with?
Many people today are driven, have no other choice. Others are privileged to be able to consciously change their perspective again and again. Klaus is working in Iran, Russia, soon North Korea, Jürgen in Africa and Spain, Frank in Africa and India, Ulrich at the university, with caregivers and young adults, Gerlinde in multiple counselor perspectives. Again and again we dive into the life contexts of other people. Surreal things suddenly become real(er), e.g. recently in December a hybrid workshop in Kiev, then a missile attack – and afterwards the question: How do we go on? Another reported, “My daughter is a doctor and is on the verge of burnout.”
Hand on heart: we personally, here in the Deidesheim Circle, are doing well in most cases. But what does the increasingly extreme reality of life for other people in other places do to us? The question is, what and how much of it do we let get to us and how (skin)close and immediate? – A step out of the door is often also a step into a certain perceived chaos. How do we connect with the life contexts of other people? And how do we orient ourselves in them? What remains constant for us, changes, dissolves, emerges anew? Where and when do I intervene, become active? Where do I let things happen – on a small as well as on a large scale? What results do I achieve with it?
Let’s look at the last 2-3 years: Were there turning points/crises/changes for me, my employees, customers due to the so-called turn of the times? Were there moments when I (partially) reinvented myself, my business, my company. How was that exactly? Where are (new) opportunities for me, my company, my employees and customers today?
