Merchants seal their decisions with a handshake. You can trust in this handshake. Today, mistrust and unlimited profit motives are increasingly throwing things off balance. Distrust makes simple things highly complex, fast things slow and formerly affordable things expensive. Control at any price puts humanity and economy in the background. In a society in which sustainable entrepreneurial activity and humanity are important, it is important to maintain a strong culture of trust (despite disappointments). Trust can be built by any company and any person. This is not about blind trust. Of course mistakes happen. Recognising them and learning from them makes us human and in turn promotes trust. The courage and wisdom of all of us are therefore more than ever in demand today.
